COLT 1911-TYPE GOVERNMENT MODEL PISTOL CAL .45. COLT 1911 C151048 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. 45. 5" bbl. Colt 1911A1-type Government Model pistol. Right slide marking "COLT AUTOMATIC CALIBRE .45" and Rampant Colt. Left slide marking Colt's standard Hartford address over Colt's standard 1913 patent data. Upper trigger guard bow, final inspector "1" over "VP". Right trigger guard bow upper has assembler mark "51". Front sight is thin, rounded flat type. Rear sight is flat with round notch. Hammer is long, wide spur checkered. Grip safety is long tang. Mainspring housing is arched and checkered. Thumb safety and slide stop are checkered. Trigger is short, milled and checkered. Stocks are full checkered walnut. Pistol is accompanied by an unnumbered maroon tattered box with broken top. Box contains bristle brush and instruction sheet. CONDITION: Slide as numerous micro-scratches, only visible up close. Receiver shows almost no wear except at butt corner. One or two micro-dings on dust cover. Receiver shows 99% orig finish. Slide shows muzzle wear and various micro-scratches. Slide shows 97% orig finish. Grip screws are blued and show minor wear at the apex. Screws slots are all pristine. Mag is commercial type two-toned with most of orig polished finish remaining. Small amount of pinprick pitting on upper quadrant. Base plate is pristine. Mag catch assembly is pristine.
