MAUSER BYF 42 CODE BLACK WIDOW WITH HOLSTER AND TOOL. MAUSER P-08 LUGER 6983b 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9 mm. Standard Black Widow Luger with 42 chamber date and BYF toggle code. 4" bbl with drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Full SN with letter suffix on forward frame, repeated SN under bbl and on left side of receiver. Bbl and right side of receiver with usual Waffenamt acceptances. P08 on left frame, above grip. Disassembly shows all small parts to have matching SNs except for an unmarked replacement rear toggle pin. Orig black plastic grips and correct extruded FXO, double eagle/37 marked P08 magazine with black plastic base. Complete with black leather holster, replaced securing strap, obverse surface is marked "jme/1994", acceptance eagle/WaA14, and large imprinted "P.08". Orig but unmarked takedown tool. CONDITION: Approx 90-95% salt blue with wear in expected areas around muzzle, forward rail, hump of sideplate and front and back strap. Black plastic grips with minimal blunting of checkering. Excellent mag. Bright bore with sharp rifling. Perfect manual mechanics. VG holster with considerable crazing of lid that includes initials "AV" along with less discernible lettering. Excellent takedown tool and no spare mag. Very nice representative Black Widow with correctly dated holster. 51709-15 LMA (1,500-2,500)
