LOT OF TWO POST-WAR COMMERCIAL WALTHER P38 PISTOLS IN BOXES. WALTHER P38 311218 9MM MODERN; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Marked on left side of slide Walther banner "Carl Walther Waffenfabrik Ulm/Do." over "P38 Cal. 9mm". Marked on right side of slide with eagle N commercial proof "Distributed by (logo) INTERARMS" over "Alexandria/Virg. USA". Left side of trigger guard web marked "68" stag antler over eagle N proof. Right side of frame marked "Made in West-Germany". Eagle N marked on front of bbl. Matching last three digits of SN on left bbl lug. Alloy frame. Black plastic checkered grips. Comes with a total of two magazines marked Walther banner "P38 9mm". High lustre commercial blued finish. Comes in the factory box with factory test target and manual. Otherwise unmarked brown cardboard box has factory label with matching SN on end of lid. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. Left side of trigger guard web marked "68" stag antler over eagle N proof. Right side of frame marked "Made in West-Germany". Eagle N marked on front of bbl. Alloy frame. Black plastic checkered grips. Magazine marked Walther banner "P38 9mm". Steel cleaning rod. Comes in factory brown cardboard box with test target and manual. Box marked on lid Walther banner "Pistole P 38/Cal. 9mm/Carl Walther, Waffenfabrik, Ulm-Donau". Box lid has factory matching SN label attached to end. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining most of the finish, very light handling marks. Grips show light handling marks. Excellent bore. Excellent working order.
