2ND HANNOVERIAN UHLAN REGIMENT 14 ENLISTED MAN'S TSCHAPKA MODEL 1899.

Black lacquered leather helmet body with silver trim. Helmet body has fine form and enlisted style construction. Frontplate is the Prussian heraldic Line eagle with the added honor banners "Waterloo-Peninsula-Garzia-Hernandez". Battle honors are attached independently from the frontplate as they were added in 1899. Rounded brass chinscales on M95 side lugs with single Reich's enlisted style cockade. Interior has leather flat tabbed head liner with draw string. Front plate attached with nuts. No extra holes in helmet body. Leather mortar board is enlisted construction complete with enlisted black and white cloth field badge. Included are white cloth enlisted style parade cords. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Doug Buhler Collection of Rare and Spectacular German Imperial Headgear and Pickelhauben. CONDITION: Very good overall. Leather helmet body has good form and general crazing on finish. Leather liner is complete and in good condition. Parade cords show use and fraying at contact points. 51586-4 RT (2,500-4,250)
