PRUSSIAN LINE KURASSIER REGIMENTS 3, 4, 5, 7, OR 8 OFFICER'S HELMET MODEL 1899.

Officer model 1889-99 lobster tail style helmet. Nickel covered steel with brass trim. Frontplate is the Prussian heraldic Line eagle. Gold chinscales on clover leaf rosettes. Large style officer Reichs and Prussian cockades. Cruciform spike base with tall fluted silver officer's spike. Interior has officer's sweat leather and silk head liner. Back visor covered in black velvet. Front visor interior covered with green leather. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Doug Buhler Collection of Rare and Spectacular German Imperial Headgear and Pickelhauben. CONDITION: Very good. Officer helmet body re-nickeled and heavier than normal. Liner interior restored. Mix of orig and reproduction parts. 51586-1 RT (2,000-4,000)
