COLT LIGHT WEIGHT COMMANDER PISTOL WITH ORIGINAL BOX. COLT COMMANDER 24643-LW 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. .45 ACP. Bbl marked "Colt .45 Auto", slide right hand side marked "Colt Mfg Co. Hartford, CT. USA", left side of slide marked "Commander Model Colt Automatic Caliber .45" with Rampant Colt. Aluminum receiver is relieved over the dust cover both sides leaving a gap. Right trigger guard bow upper shows final assembler mark "73", left trigger guard bow shows final inspector "A" over verified proof. Front sight is tapered, serrated, rear sight is notched. Trigger is short serrated. Hammer is serrated with lanyard hole. Stocks are brown plastic with Colt logo showing considerable shrinkage and cannot be removed. Has 70's style grooved safety. Mag marked "Colt .45 Auto", post-war welded construction. Accompanied by spare welded base mag and orig box marked with proper SN on bottom in yellow crayon, includes instruction booklet. CONDITION: Minor dings around slide hold open pin on right side. Front grip strap thinning with numerous ring scratches. Rear grip strap, grooved mainspring housing with considerable thinning. Instruction sheet in good shape with only a few stains. Box has three corners broken on lid, remainder of box is sound. 51176-10 KXK (1,500-2,500)
