FINE LOT OF COLT .22 PISTOLS. COLT SERVICE MDL ACE KIT 840321 22LR MODERN; C&R Cal. .22 LR. Slide right marked "Colt Service Model Ace .22 Long Rifle", left side of slide marked with standard "Colt's PT. F.A. MFG. CO. Hartford, Conn. U.S.A. Colt Patent numbers ..." and Rampant Colt, left receiver marked "WV" in a square below slide stop, upper left trigger guard bow marked "8" over verified proof, "P" under mag catch, right receiver marked "United States Property" over "NO 840321", after slide stop pin "M1911A1 U.S. Army", upper trigger guard bow marked with final assembler mark "84", ordinance mark on rear above pins. Stocks are large ring Colt wood with reinforcing ribs. Hammer is checkered wide spur, grip safety is long tang, mainspring housing is checkered with lanyard loop. Mag is fully blued with bottom marked "Colt 22 Ace L.R. Service Model". Front sight is medium wide that has been filed down and an orange dot applied to the rear surface, rear sight is standard ACE adjustable. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Bbl is standard Ace Service Model type with floating chamber, chamber appears to be moving freely. Entire pistol except bbl is Parkerized with typical Colt color. Considerable wear on high edges of receiver, much less wear on ACE slide. Front grip strap missing most of the Parkerized finish. Mainspring housing missing most of the finish on the edges. Slide to frame fit is moderately loose, bbl to slide lock up is good. 51517-20 KXK (4,500-5,500)
COLT MODEL 1903 SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL IN AN ORIGINAL COLT BOX.COLT190342050432ACPMODERN; C&RCal. .32 ACP. 3-3/4" bbl, full blue finish, 2-pc checkered hard rubber grips with Colt monogram and Rampant Colt logo. Left side of slide shows 2-line Colt address and patent mark with Rampant Colt logo stamped at the rear. Right side of slide shows Colt cal designation under the ejector port. SN is stamped on left side of frame above trigger. SN also appears on the inside rear of the slide. "Cal. 32 Colt" is stamped on mag base. Box has correct Colt end label, SN is written in pencil on bottom of box, date 12-19-22 is also written in pencil, which closely corresponds to the manufacturing date of the pistol. Box contains Colt instruction sheet, small special instruction sheet and cleaning brush. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Slide retains 98% of the blue finish with very slight high point wear and very sharp markings. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Frame also retains 98% bright blue finish with only the slightest handling marks and sharp markings. Grips are also very fine with sharp checkering, clear logos and only very slight bruising on the right grip. Mag retains nearly all the blue with a distinct temper mark. Box is fine, with no broken corners and only slight exterior edge loss. Inside labels are fine, instruction sheet has slight oil stains.
