FINE COLLECTOR'S LOT OF TWO 1911-A1 SERVICE PISTOLS. COLT 1911A1 1153637 45ACP MODERN; C&R Cal. 45 ACP. Wide spur hammer, coarse checkered mainspring housing, long tang grip safety, stamped Yawman Metal Products trigger, wide escutcheon Colt stocks, slightly frosted "F" and "Colt 45 Auto" marked bbl, feed ramp in-the-white. Slide and frame properly "P" marked. Proper unnumbered slide. Very good + General Shaver mag, not orig to pistol. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: Feed ramp in-the-white with minor tarnishing. Stock screws and mag catch lock slot are near excellent. All markings are crisp and clear. Frame and slide wear only on high spots. Front and rear grip straps near excellent. Front and rear sights no dings or dents. Slide hold open notch is crisp and sharp, very little wear on slide rail. Stocks are near excellent. Overall near superb orig Colt 1911A1 with clean crisp markings and very little wear with only an improper mag. 51517-8 KXK (5,000-6,000)
REMINGTON RAND 1911A1 45ACP PISTOL ALL ORIGINAL (EXCEPT MAG).REMINGTON RAND1911A1206612845ACPMODERN; C&RCal. 45 ACP. Flat side hammer, long tang grip safety, serrated mainspring housing, stamped Yawman Metal Products trigger, Keyes Fibre stocks with small escutcheon rings, "P" marked slide and receiver, serrated ramp front sight and square notch rear sight, type-3 slide legend. Mag is Parkerized Barnes & Kobert Mfg Company. PROVENANCE: The Frank H. Wheaton, III Collection. CONDITION: All markings are crisp and clear, considerable scuffing to right and left side of slide but only edge wear. Receiver has take-down scratch on left side. High Standard bbl very good but pitted bore. Slight damage to stock escutcheon rings. All pins are crisp with no dents. Overall a near excellent condition Remington Rand with the exception of a few slide scuffs. 51517-11 KXK (2,000-3,000)
