COLT 1911A1 MILITARY PISTOL. COLT 1911A1 936110 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. .45. 5" bbl. Excellent example of an all orig 1911 pistol in the middle of the SN's of the Canadian group. Right hand side receiver shows "United States Property" above SN with a broken character in "States". Checkered wide spur hammer. Long tang grip safety. Typical Colt coarse checkered mainspring housing. Slide marked "936110" under firing pin stop plate. Front sight is wide serrated ramp. Rear sight square notch with "P" proof in front of rear sight. Bbl is "G" marked with small f and COLT 45 AUTO on chamber area. "P" proofed on left lug. Mag is "L" marked on top of tongue, fully blued with sandblasted bottom. CONDITION: Small pits above slide hold back notch, left side. Small pits left hand side upper corner. Traces of pits upper slide right side. Left hand side shows takedown scratch through "GHD" inspection mark. Ordinance wheel right rear crisp and sharp. Feed ramp is Parkerised but looks orig. Mag catch lock slightly buggered. Scuffs under and below slide stop appear to be "A1" marking. Front and rear grip straps show no apparent wear. Mainspring housing shows slight wear on edges from holster. Final inspection mark on upper left trigger guard bow appears fuzzy as does verified proof. Very little shadow on rear of firing pin stop plate. Bore is bright and shiny with a small amount of dirt. Only the slightest wear on hold open notch but bottom of slide shows moderate wear. Stock screws excellent with no sign of buggering. Right stock has minor chips on reinforcement rings. Left stock crisp and sharp. Overall, a very nice looking orig 1911A1 with very little wear. Bottom shows nicks and scuffs, mostly edge wear on mag. Only very minor nicks and scuffs on finish.
