TYPE II REMINGTON RAND 1911A1 ORIGINAL DULITE FINISH PISTOL. REMINGTON RAND 1911A1 942739 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. 45. Remington Rand Type II 1911A1. Orig finish on most parts except slide stop and bbl. Crossed scepters mark above trigger guard right side with crown over "BNP". SN and United States Property crisp. Ordinance wheel behind right stock crisp with metal showing. "FJA" inspector's mark left side crisp. P proof below mag catch release contains white material. Mainspring housing finely checkered. Flat side checkered hammer. Thumb safety checkered. 5" bbl is SP and PX-4 with Birmingham Nitro Proof visible through ejection port. Slide is P proofed in front of rear sight with crown over "BNP". Left side shows Type II Remington Rand slide legend. Front sight tapered serrated ramp. Rear sight square notch. Mag is general Shaver type with faint G mark on tongue and seam up the back. CONDITION: Overall, a nice looking Type II British Birmingham proofed Remington Rand. Slide is 90% orig finish. Receiver is 93% orig with a lot of scuffs. Bore is shiny but dirty. Bottom of mag floorplate has considerable scuffing and scratches. Keyes Fiber stocks in very good+ to excellent condition, showing little wear. Front grip strap is slightly thinning.
