TWO FINE FRENCH SVW P-38 PISTOLS DATED 45 & 46. SVW P38 36 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl marked "P.38", "svw/45" on left side of slide. Five-pointed French star on right side of slide. WaA135 marked on bbl. Matching numbers on slide, bbl, and frame. Black grips. This gun is explained on p. 50, pictured on p. 51 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. II by Warren Buxton. "P38/U" marked magazine. Accompanied by black leather pebble grained holster, appears to be unmarked. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: About good with no finish remaining. With some light pitting and minor surface rust. Markings are clear. Bore is worn with good rifling. Good working order. Holster fine, solid stitching. 51569-125 GER (1,250-1,750)

VERY FINE MAUSER SVW 46 FRENCH P38 POST-WAR PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. SVW P38 6861k 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9 mm. 5" bbl. Marked on left side of slide "P38", "svw/46", SN. Date stamping is weak. Five-pointed French star on right side of slide. Metal grips. Matching SNs on slide, frame, and bbl. This gun is described on p. 47, pictured on p.48 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. II by Warren Buxton. "P.38v" marked magazine. Accompanied by brown leather flap holster, marked on back "P.38 jwa/4". PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very fine, retaining most of the orig special polish finish. Magazine appears to be refinished. Exceedingly minimal handling marks. Excellent bore. Excellent working order. Holster is very good, showing wear, strong stitching. 51569-298 GER (600-800)
