PAIR OF WALTHER AC 42 P-38 PISTOLS WITH HOLSTERS. WALTHER P38 276i 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Marked "P.38", "ac/42" on left side of slide. Matching numbers on frame, slide, and bbl. Eagle 359 inspector's proof. Brown bakelite grips. This gun is explained on p. 227, pictured on p. 229 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol.III by Warren Buxton. Eagle 359 marked magazine with non-matching SN electric penciled into spine. Accompanied by brown leather holster, dyed black, marked "dvr/42/eagle WaA170" and "P38" on back. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good retaining a good amount of finish with a few minor areas of roughness. Markings clear. Grips excellent. Bore is rough with visible rifling. Excellent working order. Holster solid with replacement belt loop, stitching gone from bottom of orig loop. Matching SN's on bbl, frame, and slide. Dark brown Bakelite grips. This gun is described on p. 240, pictured on p. 241 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. I by Warren Buxton. Magazine marked "P.38", eagle 359. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "gcx/1942" eagle swastika WaA930, "P38". PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine, with slight finish wear on high points. Thinning finish on front strap. All markings clear. Grips have handling marks. Excellent bore. Excellent working order.
