Marked on left side of slide Walther banner, "Waffenfabrik Walther, Zella-Mehlis (Thur.)"/"Walther's Patent Cal. 9m/m", "Mod HP"/SN. Marked on left side of frame SN, Austrian eagle, "BH". Marked on right side of slide commercial "N" proof. SN on right side of frame. Front of bbl with SN and post-war proofs. SN and eagle N proof on right side top of slide. All SNs matching on slide, frame and bbl. Dark brown Bakelite grips. Magazine marked "P.38", eagle "359". PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Slide markings are weak due to Austrian police refinish. Very good with handling marks and finish wear on high points as well as front grip strap. Wear typical of police issued gun. Very good bore with strong rifling and minor frosting. Slide does not always lock back. Action in good working order. Grips show normal handling marks. 51569-400 GER (1,500-2,000)

Marked on left side of frame "INTERARMS.ALEX.,VA."/SN. Matching SNs on frame, slide and bbl. Black plastic checkered grips. Alloy frame. Magazine marked Walther banner, "P38 9mm", "12/59". Extra magazine marked Walther banner, "P38 9mm", circle dot proof mark at top of magazine at spine. Not matching period Walther cardboard box with Interarms manual. CONDITION: Good retaining most of orig finish. Light handling marks and finish wear on high points. Markings all clear. Excellent bore. Excellent working order.
