WALTHER AND MAUSER P-38 PISTOLS DATED 44. WALTHER P38 8574e 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Marked "P.38", SN and "ac44" on left side of slide. Eagle 359 inspector's marks. Experimental copper finish. Matching numbers on slide, frame and bbl. This gun is described on p. 256, pictured on p. 257 in The P.38 Pistol, Vol. I by Warren Buxton. Brown Bakelite grips. Phosphate "P.38v/U" marked magazine. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked eagle WaA195 and "P.38" on back. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine retaining most of orig copper finish with some slight wear on high points and grip strap. Excellent working order. Excellent bore. All markings clear. Holster is fine with light scuff marks, solid stitching. Inspector's marking is weak. 51569-113 GER (1,500-2,000)

Eagle/135, eagle/WaA135 inspected on the right side of the slide. Matching numbers on frame, slide, and bbl. Brown Bakelite grips. This gun is explained further on p. 25, pictured p. 26 in The P.38 Pistol, Vol. II by Warren Buxton. Proper magazine. Accompanied by black leather flap holster marked "gxy/1944" and "P38" on back. Large ink Nazi proof stamped inside flap. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine with a couple areas of pinprick pitting on bbl and front left edge of slide. All markings crisp and clear. Excellent working order. Grips are excellent. Excellent bore.
