TWO SVW-46 P-38 PISTOLS WITH HOLSTERS. SVW 46 P38 6916k 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Marked "P.38", "svw/46", SN on left side of slide. Five-pointed French star on right side of slide. Matching SN's on bbl, frame, and slide. Metal grips. This gun is explained on p. 56, pictured on p. 59 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. II by Warren Buxton. "P.38", WaA708,"jvd" marked magazine. Accompanied by unmarked post-war black leather pebble grain holster. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine, retaining most of the orig finish. Finish wear on high points with light handling marks. Metal grips have light handling marks with a good amount of the orig finish. Bore has strong rifling with slight roughness. RARE FRENCH AUSTRIAN MAUSER SVW 46 P38 PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. SVW 45 P38 7052k 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Marked "P.38", "svw/46", SN on left side of slide. Five-pointed French star on right side of slide. Austrian BH marking on left side of frame just after SN. Matching SNs on bbl, frame, and slide. Metal grips. This gun is explained on p. 83, pictured on p. 89 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. III by Warren Buxton. Much later Walther banner "P38 9mm" magazine. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "P38". PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Fine, retaining most of the finish. Metal grips do not match in color. All markings clear. Excellent bore. Excellent working order. Holster is fine with light scuff marks and strong stitching. 51569-394 GER (600-800)
