PRUSSIAN LINE INFANTRY OFFICER'S HELMET MODEL 1897-1916.

Black lacquered fiber body with fine fire gilt trim. Helmet body in perfect form and firm stitching. Body has no extra holes. Interior has sweat leather and silk head liner. Sweat leather has the "Depahag Patent". Inner visors colored. Frontplate is the Prussian line eagle with fine gold frosting. Spike base had star retainers. Spike removes at base in the standard M15 style. Flat gold chin scales on M91 side lugs. Officer's Reichs and Prussian cockade. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Doug Buhler Collection of Rare and Spectacular German Imperial Headgear and Pickelhauben. CONDITION: Near mint condition inside and out.
