PRUSSIAN 16TH HUSSAR REGIMENT ENLISTED MAN'S BUSBY CIRCA 1900.

Black seal covered frame with yellow kolpak on top. Line Prussian Hussar banner in silver on front. Model 1894 rounded chinscales that are pulled to mount behind field badge. Enlisted man's Reichs cockade. EM style cloth field badge on front. Behind field badge is the enlisted man's white parade plume. Inside has standard sharp pointed enlisted man's leather liner. Bamboo reed construction to support fur. Marked inside leather liner "BA1X" for the 9th Army Corps. Complete with white cotton parade cords mounted in back. SIZE: PROVENANCE: The Doug Buhler Collection of Rare and Spectacular German Imperial Headgear and Pickelhauben. CONDITION: Rare to find a seal busby today that has not had fur loss. This busby in excellent condition with fur still supple. Enlisted kolpak colors still bright. Interior shows use and wear but otherwise excellent. 51586-67 RT (1,400-1,750)
