Brown cloth field cover with the green Landwehr cross/"2". Cloth cover should have been affixed to helmet with metal hooks which have all been lost. Cloth is brittle with age. Spike portion has major tears, damage and cloth loss. Inside field cover is a very faint maker's stamp with the date "1915". Cloth cover is mounted on a Model 1915 field gray Prussian helmet. Helmet is missing frontplate, but has chin strap, spike and cockades. Interior of helmet still has the leather liner.
