LOT OF TWO 22 PISTOLS, COLT PRE-WOODSMAN & HARTFORD ARMS. HARTFORD ARMS 1925 3288 22 LR MODERN; C&R Cal. 22LR. 6-3/4" bbl. Rare, manually operated. Marked on left side of frame "MANFD. BY / THE HARTFORD ARMS&EQUIP.CC. / HARTFORD,CONN. / PATENTED / 22CAL. / LONG RIFLE". SN located on front grip strap. Checkered black hard rubber grips. Unmarked dual tone magazine. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good showing finish wear. Markings are clear. A few very minor areas of light surface rust. COLT WOODSMAN 6476 22 LR MODERN; C&R Cal. 22LR. 7-1/8" bbl. Pre-Woodsman model. End of bbl threaded for silencer. Standard Hartford, Connecticut bbl address. "DEC. 22,1903." patent date. Checkered, diamond wood grips. Proper dual tone "CAL.22 / COLT" marked magazine. PROVENANCE: The Esteemed Collection Of Noted Expert And Author Warren Buxton. CONDITION: Very good showing finish wear on high points and grip straps. Some areas of light surface rust and discoloration on the left side of the bbl. Ding in metal on right side of bbl. Has 3 initials lightly scratched into finish on right side of frame under slide serrations. Muzzle threads are sharp. Fine bore has strong rifling. All markings clear. Grips show nominal wear.
