MAUSER LUGER, 1939 DATE, 42 CODE, WITH HOLSTER, SPARE MAGAZINE, AND TOOL. MAUSER P-08 LUGER 2804 -MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. Standard configuration Mauser Luger with 1939 chamber date and 42 toggle code. 4″ bbl with drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Full SN with letter suffix on forward frame, repeated SN under bbl and on left side of receiver. Bbl and right side of receiver with usual Waffenamt acceptances. Disassembly shows all small parts to have matching SNs. Orig checkered wooden grips, each marked "4" on inner surface. Mag with blued body and "renumbered to match" aluminum base that is also marked with a 42 code and "E/63". Complete with brown leather holster dated 1936, acceptance stamped "E/WaA387". Spare mag is from a WWI Erfurt Luger numbered "9529/+". Takedown tool marked "42" on front and "2804" on back. CONDITION: Approx 95% orig salt blue with wear in expected areas around muzzle, forward rails, hump of sideplate and slight thinning of front and back strap. Excellent grips with minimal diamond blunting. Bright bore with strong rifling and mild oxidation. Perfect manual mechanics. Holster in at least VG condition with the forward belt loop having been repaired, numerous superficial scuffs, orig stitching. Excellent primary mag (renumbered as noted), spare mag and reblued takedown tool. 51709-19 LMA (1,500-2,250)
