MAUSER LUGER, 1936 DATE, S/42 CODE, WITH 41 DATED HOLSTER. MAUSER P-08 LUGER 3102k 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. Standard Mauser Luger with 1936 chamber date and S/42 toggle code. 4″ bbl with drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Full SN with letter suffix on forward frame, repeated SN under bbl and on left side of receiver. Bbl and right side of receiver with usual Waffenamt acceptances. Disassembly shows all small parts to have matching SNs. Unmarked wooden grips and extruded P08 stamped mag having an unmarked base. Black leather holster whose obverse surface is marked "dla/41" and "E/WaA195" in addition to the large "P.08". No spare mag or takedown tool. CONDITION: Approx 70% orig rust blue with fading in areas of usual holster contact and particularly the grip straps that have largely grayed. Better condition strawed parts that show no evidence of enhancement. Generally bright bore with oxidation in grooves. Perfect manual mechanics. Excellent mag and holster with supple leather and orig stitching that shows no repair. 51709-16 LMA (1,500-2,000)
