DWM LUGER, 1916 DATE, REGIMENTAL MARKING. DWM P-08 LUGER 6284d 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. Standard DWM WWI Luger with 1916 chamber date and intertwined DWM on middle toggle link. 4″ bbl with drift adjustable front sight and fixed rear sight. Full SN with letter suffix on forward frame, repeated SN under bbl and on left side of receiver. Bbl and right side of receiver with usual Imperial acceptances. Front strap with Regimental markings "II/234.4.2.". Takedown lever has been repaired with spliced-on section obscuring orig number. Disassembly shows all small parts to have matching SNs, including each of the grips. Era correct commercial mag with tinned body and unmarked wooden plug. CONDITION: Approx 85% orig rust blue with comparable condition strawed small parts, takedown lever repair having been previously mentioned, showing no evidence of enhancement. Crisply checkered grips with only minor blunting. Excellent mag. Mirror bright bore. Perfect manual mechanics. 51709-20 LMA (1,000-1,500)
