FINE COLLECTOR'S LOT OF IBM AND NATIONAL POSTAL METER M1 CARBINES FROM WWII. US CARBINE, M1 IBM M1 CARBINE 3783337 30 MODERN; C&R Cal. 30M1. 18" Barrel is marked IBM CORP with no date. Metal component parts are finished in a some what grey phosphate finish. Carbine has many early features such as, but not limited to, push button safety, unmarked magazine release, flat bolt, and type 2 barrel band without bayonet lug. 2 piece high wood stocks with two rivet hand guard are both makers marked S-HB and stock marked R-AP on grip. Internal parts appear to be properly marked for IBM manufacture but rifle was not fully disassembled so not fully guaranteed to be 100% correct. With green web sling and oiler. CONDITION: Very good overall with no trace evidence of sanding or refinish. Metal finish is very good and consistent with typical thinning and loss at high points. Bore and mechanics are very good. Sling is a modern reproduction as is oiler. 51389-25 TDW (2,500-3,500)
US CARBINE M1 CARBINE 4294726 30 MODERN; C&R Cal. 30M1. 18" barrel marked very lightly "MARLIN". Metal component parts are a dark grey/green phosphate finish. Many early features include, but not limited to, flip sight, type 1 narrow barrel band, push button safety. Internal parts appear to be correct makers marks for National Postal meter, but full disassembly was not done so they are not guaranteed to be so. 2 piece walnut stocks are both TN makers marked with a very light "NPM" over "FJA" in box cartouche. With web sling and oiler. CONDITION: Very fine overall with most all phosphate finish remaining with slight loss of finish inside of op rod channel on receiver and on bolt from use. Bore and mechanics are very good. Stocks are slightly oil darkened and possibly lightly sanded as some marking are very light. Rear Flip sight and Narrow type 1 barrel band are reproductions as is web sling and oiler. 51389-28 TDW (2,500-4,000)
