FINE WINCHESTER M1 CARBINE FROM WWII. WINCHESTER M1 1216839 30 MODERN; C&R Cal 30M1. 18" barrel with traditional "W" for Winchester manufacture. Dark Grey/green phosphate finish overall. Type 3 variation with bayonet lug and toggle safety and "M" marked magazine release. 2 piece walnut stocks have 2 rivet hand guard with "MU" marking on underside. Butt stock is "I.R." over ordnance bomb stamped in sling slot. Trigger assembly and small parts are of mixed manufacture as is correct for type 3 rebuilds. Stock has "AAX" rebuild mark on left side. Slide adjustable rear sight, flat bolt and undated web sling and oiler. CONDITION: Exceptionally fine with little trace of use after re-issue or rebuild. Bore and mechanics are excellent. Stocks have several very small storage marks and abrasions. Metal finish is excellent with typical very light wear at high points of sights, muzzle and trigger guard. 51764-14 TDW (1,000-1,200)
