EXTREMELY FINE NEAR MINT WINCHESTER MODEL 97 RIOT GUN, MODIFIED WITH BAYONET.WINCHESTER189792394812MODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 20-3/4" bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. Choked Cyl. Steel front bead. Usual configuration for this model with proper bayonet marked "Winchester Repeating Arms Co". Lined forearm uncheckered buttstock with Winchester checkered HRBP. Weight with bayonet: 9 lbs. 1 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine retaining nearly all orig finish to both wood and metal. Blued metal parts with 95-97% lightly toned orig finish. Carrier retains nearly all of its orig blued finish. Breech appears only very lightly marked indicating this as likely test fired only. Buttstock and forearm are excellent and orig with only minor handling marks. Hammer with only minor imprint on striker. Bores are bright and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. 51544-6 JSL (1,500-2,500)
