REAL NEAT FLINTLOCK BLUNDERBUSS WITH EXTREME FLARE.BLUNDERBUSSF/LNSN2-1/4Cal. 2-1/4" at muzzle. This impressive blunderbuss has 16" bbl with octagonal breech section transitioning to round with large flare at muzzle which also has some incised decoration, and is engraved in geometric and light scroll. It is fitted with a Brown Bess lock marked "Dublin Castle" on tail, with "GR" under crown with British broad arrow at center. It also features bridled friction frizzen and round bodied serpentine cock. Light colored fiddle figured stock is sheet brass mounted with Brown Bess brass trigger guard nailed to stock. Grip is checkered. CONDITION: Very Good. Iron parts cleaned to silvery gray over some light pitting and darkening. Stock has a fairly heavy coat of varnish. Brass is a fine gold patina.
