WELL MADE FANCY EASTERN EUROPE/ NORTH AFRICAN MIQUELET.EASTERN EUROPEANMIQUELETNSN60Cal. 60. 52-1/4" Bbl affixed to stock with 9 scroll repossee silver bands. There is an engraved name or address on top flat. Miquelet lock has been silver clad. Forend of stock extends to within 9" of muzzle, and has silverwork matching bands toward front, and is nearly fully inlaid with inset circular gold stars back toward lock area, which has been inlaid with mother of pearl diamonds. Butt has matching circular gold stars toward rear, and comb is wrapped with red cloth worked with gold piping. CONDITION: Good. Old bbl shows heavy cleaning and is now silver to brown patina over considerable pitting. Silver is good. Lock missing patches of silver. A few gold stars are missing, with some cracking and parts missing in a few mother of pearl diamonds. Cloth somewhat deteriorated. 51162-12 MGM52 (1,250-2,250)
