HIGH QUALITY PAIR OF PERCUSSION TARGET PISTOLS BY "TANNER IN HANOVER".TANNER IN HANOVERPERC PISTOLS2009/ 200948Cal. 48 Groove diameter. 10" Chamfered octagon rifled bbls, have scroll engraving at breeches and muzzles and makers name and address in gold on top flats. Breech irons are fitted with adjustable U-notch sights, are finely scroll engraved, and have fine gold inlaid borders. This exceptionally well done treatment extends to locks and hammers, where scroll is in semi-relief. Triggers are set. Figured walnut stocks with schnabeled forends and checkered, flared grips, are iron mounted. Spurred trigger guards are scroll engraved and inlaid with "A" and "B". Grip caps are engraved with feather bursts. Vacant silver oval crest plates are on left sides. CONDITION: Fine. Bbls retain a considerable amount of their orig brown, with pistol "B" showing the most wear. Stocks retain most of their orig finish with numerous marks and scratches. Bores appear to be excellent but are partially obscured by caked oil. Mechanically good. 51162-5 MGM32 (2,500-4,500)
