DUTCH 18TH CENTURY FLINTLOCK MILITARY PISTOL.DUTCHF/L PISTOLNSN69Cal. 69. 19-1/4" overall, 12" oct-rnd bbl with wedding ring transitions, brass blade front sight. Iron trigger guard and nosecap band, ramrod thimbles are brass. There is no lock escutcheon or buttcap, butt is simply carved, bulbous form. Bbl retained by two iron pins in forestock. PROVENANCE: Private Lifetime Collection Of A Noted Scholar And Authority. CONDITION: Good to very good as restored. Bbl has been cleaned and refinished, overall mottled plum/grey color with scattered areas of pitting. Other iron is cleaned with similar color. Stock has been restored and replenished retaining its new varnish. Mechanically gun functions with smooth pitted bore. 51627-9 JS (2,000-3,000)
