ENGLISH SEA SERVICE FLINTLOCK PISTOL BY TOWER WITH BELT HOOK. ENGLISH SEA SERVICE FLINT PISTOL NSN 55 Cal. 55. This large, heavy pistol has 12" tapered round bbl and typical "Tower" marked flintlock, having crown over "GR" and crown over "V" proof. A 9" belt hook is affixed to sideplate. Bbl, belt hook, and bbl tang have crowned "GR" proofs. Walnut full stock is brass mounted. CONDITION: Good. Iron and steel parts lightly cleaned to silver gray over some light staining. Stock shows some repairs near trigger and through butt. Brass is a mellow mustard brown patina. Mechanically good with little evidence of having been fired. 31377-26 MGM24 (2,500-3,000)
