SPRINGFIELD 1911 CAL. 45 AUTOMATIC ARMY MARKED PISTOL MADE IN 1917. SPRINGFIELD 1911 127202 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. 45. 5" bbl. Appears to be all orig Springfield made 1911 pistol with the possible exception of a grip screw or two. Pistol was not disassembled but parts show the distinctive Springfield features. Slide left has last patent date 1911 with Springfield Armory standard marking. Flaming bomb to rear of slide. Front sight is integral machined into slide. Thin and rounded with no flattening on top. Rear sight has Springfield square outline flat top with rounded notch. Firing pin stop plate has typical Springfield rounded bevel. Springfield hammer has checkering rounding over the end. Thumb safety has distinctive Springfield outline. Slide stop has checkering all the way up to the top. Receiver marked "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" on dust cover left front, flaming bomb over magazine catch button. Short tang grip safety has typical Springfield sharp edge. Mainspring housing has typical Springfield minimal bevel on bottom edge. Magazine is typical Springfield manufacture with two-tone follower, copper plating on rear upper and folded over welded lips on the bottom. CONDITION: Magazine in excellent orig condition. Overall, pistol is in very good nearly original condition. Mechanics are crisp. 52528-10 KXK (3,500-6,000)
