COLT 1911 CAL. 45 AUTOMATIC FIRST YEAR PRODUCTION PISTOL WITH FACTORY LETTER.COLT1911969645MODERN; C&RCal. 45. 5" bbl. Metal parts fully blued with correct mid-early Colt finish. Standard configuration showing wide spur stubby hammer. Thumb safety is full milled. Flat mainspring housing. Grips safety with short tang. Long milled trigger. Dbl diamond stocks. Checkered magazine catch button. Bbl has no relief cut in front so the link stands at proper angle and proper longitudinal finish marks are visible through the ejection port. Sans serif "H" on back of bbl hood. Serifed "H" above firing pin stop plate. "5" inspect mark ahead of bbl lug. Link pin loose. Slotted mag catch lock, post WWII magazine with welded bottom. Pistol appears to be all orig except magazine. CONDITION: Fine condition. Overall, retains 80% orig finish. Dbl diamond stocks slightly worn on bottom. Left stock missing a few diamonds and small dent in front. Slide left front has considerable pitting. Slide right has considerable pitting on front, rear and around ejection port. Slide muzzle has holster wear. Front and rear sight show holster wear. Inside needs a good cleaning. Receiver has pitting right side above trigger and on rear tang. Front grip strap shows erosion plus minor pitting. Dust cover worn on edges. Finish mostly gone on mainspring housing. Holster wear on front trigger guard bow. Pitting on muzzle appears to have been from storage in a holster. Bbl bore is poor with heavy pitting, but lands still show. Mechanics are fine. Stock screws right very good. Stock screws left show moderate screwdriver damage. Magazine catch lock slot very good plus. 52500-1 KXK (3,000-5,000)
