COLT 1911A1 GOVERNMENT MODEL PISTOL MADE IN 1937.COLTGOV''T MDLC18578345ACPMODERN; C&RCal. 45ACP. 5" bbl. Very attractive 1937 manufacture government model in 100% orig condition retaining 97% finish. All parts are orig and correct. CONDITION: Very fine. Slide retains 98%+ orig finish with some slight erosion at muzzle. Small amount of pitting at muzzle. Minor scratches on sides but slide still retains very attractive look. Frame has scattered pinprick spotting on right side. No significant dents or scrapes. Front and rear grip straps show almost no deterioration. Mainspring housing shows slight finish deterioration. Wide long spur hammer shows spotting on right side. Extractor shows pitting on rear face. Front sight shows minor pitting on right side. Magazine is two tone commercially marked "COLT 45 AUTO" on face plate. Excellent condition with some bluing missing on tongue. Matching SN under firing pin stop plate. Does not have Swartz safety. Bore excellent, bright and shiny. Slide stop notch shows only minor wear. Full checkered walnut stocks are excellent+. Dull finish stock screws excellent+. Slight scratches around thumb safety, pin hole and sear pin hole. Mechanics are crisp. Overall, very attractive 1937 production model in excellent all orig condition. 52178-1 KXK (3,000-5,000)
