LOT OF TWO COLT MADE 1911 A1 CAL. 45 AUTOMATIC PISTOLS. COLT 1911A1 16643326 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. 45. 5" bbl. 1944 production. Pistol appears to be all orig except rear sight. Registration mark does not line up. Slide unmarked on right side. Left side has standard 1911 Colt marking with Rampant Colt in the middle. "P" ahead of rear sight. Identical "P" below magazine catch. Receiver shows standard markings right side. Ordnance wheel shows burnished metal. Frame left shows "G.H.D." mark with crushed finish inside letters. Trigger guard bow left marked with "P" final inspector mark and verified proof. Right trigger guard bow shows final assembler number 96. Stocks are Colt wide ring type with reinforcing ribs. Screws appear new. Magazine catch lock perfect. Trigger is stamped metal type. Hammer is wide spur. Grips safety is long tang type. Mainspring housing is serrated. Slide stop is checkered. Slide finish appears to be Parko-Lubrite. Frame also appears to be Parko-Lubrite over sandblasting. Magazine is postwar welded base type, fully blued. Bbl is "COLT 45 AUTO" marked with "F" inspector mark. CONDITION: Fine condition. Bore is shiny with little, if any frosting, but dirty. Overall, pistol appears in excellent orig condition except possibly rear sight and magazine. Only slight scuffing of front grip strap. Rear grip strap has minor wear. A few minor dings on edges. Mechanics are fine. 52528-19 KXK (2,500-5,000)

COLT 1911A1 720405 45 MODERN; C&R Cal. 45. 5" bbl. Rare 1940 production all blue Model 1911A1 with matching numbered slide. It has full checkered walnut grips with an "S" (Scovill) code all blue magazine. It has its orig Colt small "G" military bbl and the tiny "CSR" inspector initials on the left side of the frame. Rear sight registration mark does not line up but rear sight appears to be orig. CONDITION: Fine. Overall retains 75-80% orig blue, thin on the slide with scattered spots of pitting and a few small spots on the left front side of the frame. Right side is very fine. Stocks are sound with the right stock showing heavy wear. Mechanics are fine, strong bright bore with some frosting in the grooves. Very fine later magazine. Overall, a very rare blued Colt 1911A1 that appears to be all orig except for the magazine and is in decent condition. 52528-20 KXK (1,000-1,500)
