RARE AND DESIRABLE DWM AMERICAN EAGLE TEST LUGER.DWMLUGER612430MODERN; C&RCal. 765. Bbl is 4-3/4" rust blue finish overall with straw finish. Trigger, safety, takedown latch, ejector and extractor. DWM in scroll on toggle link with American Eagle crest over chamber. 2-pc checkered walnut grips with grip safety and no provision for stock. No proofs are evident on bottom of bbl or right side of receiver. Unnumbered wood base white metal magazine. One of the 1000 purchased and presented to the United States Government for test and evaluation CONDITION: Fine overall condition, with most blue finish remaining. With typical finish loss at high points of sideplate, at muzzle around front sight and bottom of front strap. Detailed disassembly reveals all numbers matching including grips. Firing pin and firing pin retainer are not numbered. Bore is bright and shiny with sharp rifling. Mechanics are crisp.
