OUTSTANDING MAUSER 42 CODE / 1939 LUGER PISTOL.MAUSERLUGER2697y9MMMODERN; C&RCal. 9mm. 4" bbl. Dark rust blue finish with military proofs on bottom of bbl and right side of receiver. Aluminum based blue steel magazine with dark blue finished operating levers and trigger. Block 42 marked on forward toggle indicating Mauser production. 1939 over chamber. Fine, correct 2-pc checkered walnut stocks. CONDITION: Extremely fine overall, with most all finish remaining. Typical very minor holster wear at bottom of right side of pistol grip. Very minor finish loss at leading edges of muzzle, high point of rear sight and leading edge of frame from holster wear. Bore is heavily frosted but visible rifling remains. After detailed disassembly, all numbers found to be matching including magazine, however, grips have no number present but believed correct. Mechanics crisp. 52528-15 TDW (1,500-2,000)
