ONE OF TWO KNOWN WALTHER AC41 "DEATH'S HEAD" MARKED P38 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. WALTHER P38 8345G 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard AC41 markings, with the addition of a "Death's Head (Totenkopf)" on the right side of the slide. There are only two verified known examples of this marking, this gun being one of the two. Eagle 359 inspected. All external numbers matching. Chocolate Bakelite grips. This gun is described on pgs. 179-236 and pictured on p. 237 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. I by Warren Buxton. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "0/0836"/"00", eagle WaA383, "P38". PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition, with some extremely minor pinprick pitting in a few areas. Majority of orig finish. Markings are clear. Fine grips. Bore is good with pitting and visible rifling. Mechanics are fine. The mag bottom appears to have been cleaned at some point. Holster is solid with scuff marks. Stitching is strong, it may have been redone along one edge.
