LOT OF TWO WALTHER P38 9MM PISTOLS, ONE WITH HOLSTER, ONE WITH SPARE MAG. WALTHER P38 19211K 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. The frame on this gun is a Mod HP frame with Nazi era eagle "N" proof just after SN on right side. The left side of the frame is also marked with SN as well as the Austrian eagle "BH" proof. Slide is marked with standard "Ulm/Do" address as well as Austrian "BTH12" proof mark on left side. Marked on right side of slide "1/67". Matching SN's on slide, frame and bbl. Chocolate Bakelite grips. Eagle 359 inspected mag. Accompanied by brown leather flap holster, marked on back "gxy 1944", "P38". PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Good condition, showing finish wear. There is a scratch in metal on bottom of bbl. Markings are clear. Grips are fine with light handling marks. Bore is good with light pitting throughout, strong rifling. Mechanics are functional. Holster is good, showing scuff marks. Leather is soft, stitching is solid. WALTHER P38 9727 9MM MODERN; C&R Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. As noted on p. 278, pictured p. 279 of The P.38 Pistol, Vol. I, by Warren Buxton, this is a "very rare variation". Copper colored frame is marked eagle 359 "ac" on left side after SN. Left side of slide is marked "byf/44". Right side of slide is WaA135 inspected. Left side of bbl lug is marked eagle 88 "cyq". Eagle135 on takedown lever and hammer. This gun has matching SN''s on slide, frame, bbl and mag. Numbers are all stamped in the same font, appear orig. Black Bakelite grips. Eagle 359 inspected mag. Spare mag is eagle 135 inspected, and not numbered. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition overall with light handling marks and finish wear on front grip strap. All markings clear. Bore is bright with strong rifling. Mechanics are fine.
