COLLECTOR'S LOT OF THREE WALTHER P-38 PISTOLS. WALTHER P38 2203B 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings on gun, with addition of "X" above slide markings on left side denoting Russian capture. Matching SN's on slide, frame and bbl. Eagle 359 inspected. Eagle 359 marked mag. Light brown Bakelite grips. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "ewx/1944", WaA195, "P.38". PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition, as Russian arsenal refurbished. All markings clear. Minor finish wear and light handling marks. Light pitting under finish on firing pin cover. Grips are fine with light handling marks, lightly shaved at top of left grip. Bore is fair with pitting throughout and visible rifling. Fine mechanical function. WALTHER AC43 P38 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. WALTHER P38 7240 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings on gun. Eagle 359 inspected. SN on slide has been X'd out, matching numbers stamped beneath. SN on left side of frame has been X'd out, matching number stamped on right side of frame. Orig SN stamped on front of bbl lug, matching. This gun is most likely a Russian capture, and refurbish. Black Bakelite grips. Unmarked mag. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "bml/43", WaA23, "P.38". PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Fine condition as refurbished. Markings are clear. Locking block is blued. Grips are fine with light handling marks. Bore has moderate pitting throughout, rifling is worn. WALTHER AC42 P38 POSTWAR AUSTRIAN REWORK 9MM PISTOL WITH HOLSTER. WALTHER P38 9647 9MM MODERN; C&R; IMPORT Cal. 9mm. 5" bbl. Standard markings on left side of slide, orig SN has been defaced with matching number stamped below. Orig SN on left side of frame has been overstamped with matching SN, also stamped on right side of frame, and top right flat of slide. Austrian eagle "BH" marked on left side of frame above SN. Eagle 359 inspected. Matching SN on front of postwar commercial bbl lug. Chocolate Bakelite grips. Postwar circle "KK/10" marked mag has non-matching SN electric penciled on spine. Accompanied by black leather clam shell holster marked on back "hlv/42", other markings are illegible. PROVENANCE: Session two of the extraordinary Warren Buxton Collection. CONDITION: Good condition, as postwar rebuild. Finish wear on high points and front grip strap. Markings are clear. Grips are fine with light handling marks. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. Holster is solid, showing wear and scuff marks.
