FINE LATE WAR GERMAN WALTHER PPK WITH HOLSTER.WALTHERPPK379694R7.65W/ HolsterMODERN; C&RCal. 7.65. 3-1/4" bbl. Late War blue finish with secondary polish. "WAA 359 Inspected" on frame and slide. Eagle in proofs on chamber and slide. Late production with SN being found on both frame and slide, however still manufactured with loaded chamber indicator. The late War mottled tan Walther banner grips exhibit warping at top and bottom, which is so typical of these grips. Grips have six notches carved in the rear, which obviously had a meaning to its original owner. Grips have warped to the point of hindering the safety from properly operating. Magazine is a post-War commercial replacement manufactured by Mec-Gar. Pistol is housed in a nice, period inspected Akah manufactured holster with previous owner (Emmert Summers) written inside under flap. CONDITION: Good overall. Bore is bright and shiny. Mechanics are functional other than previously noted hindrance of safety. Over 60% late War finish remains, balance having turned patina on front strap and flat of slide with some areas of period staining above address and beneath ejection port. Holster is solid, leather is supple, stitching is strong with evident repair on back belt loop. All visible numbers are matching. 52528-29 TDW (1,500-2,000)
