SUPERLATIVE TOKYO ARSENAL MANUFACTURED 7MM JAPANESE BABY NAMBU.JAPANESEBABY NAMBU13857MMTWO ROUNDS OF 7MM JAPANESE AMMUNITIONMODERN; C&RCal. 7 mm. 3-1/4" bbl. Deep arsenal rust blue finish with checkered walnut 2-pc grips and nickel aluminum based magazine. Straw finished trigger, magazine release and extractor. The Baby Nambu with a believed production of less than 6500 has always been the iconic WWII Japanese collectible. Rarely found in prime or top collector's condition as these guns were of early manufacture in the 1920's and survival was rather small. These were a private purchase item and were typically purchased only by significant officers. CONDITION: Extremely fine, with most all finish remaining, with the slightest loss of finish on the front of the trigger and the top left spring guide to the left of chamber. The bore is bright with sharp rifling and after detailed disassembly, all numbers were found to be matching including the magazine and all major components. Mechanics are crisp as to be expected, and in addition to this fine pistol are 2 orig WWII cartridges cal. 7 mm Nambu, one with Cupro nickel jacket, the other traditional brass jacket. This is an outstanding example and will be a wonderful addition to any collection. 52544-1 TDW (4,000-6,000)
