RARE NA&A CO MADE MAUSER 71 BRITISH CONTRACT 11 MM RIFLE.NA&A MAUSERM711120H11Cal. 11mm. 33-3/4" bbl. Gewehr 71 rifle made by NA&A Company in 1875. This particular rifle is one of 75,000 made on contract by the English firm National Arms & Ammunition Company for the Prussian Government. Bears the manufacturer's triangular logo on the top receiver flat. Standard British proofs on left side of bbl, receiver and top of bolt handle flat. Dated 1875 on right side of receiver. Standard Imperial German proof marks. Matching SN's throughout. Trigger guard is rough finished. CONDITION: Good condition, showing some bbl blue, mostly a pleasing patina. Extremely light pinprick pitting in areas. All markings clear. Stock has numerous small dings and handling marks. With Rarely found matching serial numbers throughout. Some dings at the top left receiver bridge. Bore is bright with sharp rifling. Fine mechanical function. 52270-1 GER (2,500-3,500)
