SCARCE A.H. FOX AE GRADE 16 GAUGE SHOTGUN.A. H. FOXAE30163516GAMODERN; C&R; ESACal. 16 ga. 28" Chromox fluid steel bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. Chokes mod/mod. Full length matted top rib with ivory front bead, center bead is missing. No. 4 weight bbls. Dbl triggers, automatic ejectors, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14" LOP over black lined HRBP. Splinter forearm with engraved Deeley release and checkered in 2-point pattern. Watertable and bbl flats with interesting "CE" marking. Receiver is engraved in standard G Grade pattern and marked "Ansley H. Fox" on sides. All visible SN's match. WEIGHT: 6 lbs, 3 oz. PROVENANCE: The Larry Kelley estate collection. CONDITION: Very fine as partially restored. Bbls retain nearly all orig blued finish with minor handling marks. Buttstock and forearm are excellent as restored with only minor handling marks, there are a couple very minor shakes in forearm near frame. Receiver retains approximately 40% orig case color. Bores are bright and shiny, forcing cones extended. Mechanics are crisp. A very handsome and quite shootable Sub-gauge Fox. 52084-1 JSL (2,250-3,500)
