SCARCE HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION A.H. FOX STERLINGWORTH 20 GAUGE SHOTGUN.A.H. FOXSTERLINGWORTH26419920GAMODERN; C&RCal. 20 ga. 28" Sterlingworth fluid compressed steel bbls. 2-3/4" chambers. Full length matted top rib with steel front bead, top of left tube marked "Savage Arms Corp Utica, NY. USA." Dbl triggers, extractor, automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 14" LOP over orig lined HRBP. Splinter forearm checkered in elongated pattern. All visible SN's match. Bore diameter: left -.618, right - .618. Bore restrictions: left - .026 (FULL), right - .017 (MOD). Wall thickness: left - .030, right - .031 . Drop at heel: 2-3/8", drop at comb: 1-3/8". Weight: 5 lbs. 15 oz. LOP: 14". CONDITION: Extremely fine. Retaining nearly all orig finish to both wood and metal. Buttstock with a few scattered scratches and handling marks with one somewhat deeper scratch on left side near toe. Trigger guard retains approximately 70-80% orig blue finish. The frame retains more than 95% dark bold orig color. Bores are excellent with evidence of a minor ding removed from top of left tube about 9" from muzzle. Mechanics are crisp. Has been fired and very lightly field used, but this is a great example of a Savage built small bore Fox. 52269-4 JSL (2,000-3,000)
