IMPORTANT A.H. FOX 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN - THE VERY LAST J GRADE SINGLE BARREL TRAP EVER PRODUCED.A.H. FOXJ GRADE40056812GAMODERN; C&R; ESACal. 12 ga. 32" Chromox fluid steel bbl. 2-3/4" chamber. Choke full. Full length ventilated matted top rib with twin ivory beads. Nickel plated trigger, automatic ejector, no safety. Round knob pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern and checkered side panels with 14-5/8" LOP over what appears to be the orig Hawkins pad. Trap forearm with Deeley release checkered in 3-panel pattern. Receiver is nicely scroll engraved with about 40% coverage and marked "Fox" on both sides. All visible SN's match. WEIGHT: 8 lbs, 5 oz. PROVENANCE: The Larry Kelley estate collection. CONDITION: Very fine. Bbl retains approximately 97% orig blued finish. Receiver retains nearly all of its bold orig case color just starting to tone on bottom and at back of top tang. Buttstock and forearm are excellent, checkering is quite crisp and retain nearly all their orig finish, there is a tiny loss on top right side of frame at the rebate. Bores are brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. A great rare and highly collectible Fox SBT and amongst the nicer of this grade examined by this cataloger. 52084-6 JSL (3,000-5,000)
