EXCEPTIONAL HIGH ORIGINAL CONDITION ITHACA GRADE 5 SINGLE BARREL TRAP SHOTGUN.ITHACATRAP40426112MODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 32" Fluid steel bbl with raised matted ventilated rib with white mid and florescent orange front bead. Chamber marked 2-3/4". Choke is full. Checkered nickel plated trigger, automatic ejector, no safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock is of gorgeous flame grained American walnut checkered with dbl Fleur-de-lis at grip, checkered side panels with 14-1/2" LOP over Ithaca sunburst pad. Trap forearm checkered in 5-point pattern with engraved Deeley release. Receiver is beautifully engraved with gold inlaid woodcock on right, gold inlaid pheasant on left, surrounded by well cut shaded floral engraving. Bottom of receiver with American Eagle and floral and geometric design engraving. All visible SN's match. WEIGHT: 8 lbs, 7 oz. CONDITION: Extremely fine. Bbl retains 97-99% gorgeous orig blue with only a couple of very small areas of toning. Receiver retains virtually all of its bold orig case color. Breechface is superb and appears unmarred by shells. Buttstock and forearm are excellent with only minor handling marks, though there is scattered crazing in finish and there is a coast of what appears to be wax over the finish and in the checkering. Trigger guard retains virtually all of its orig blue finish. Screws are excellent. Bore brilliant and shiny. Mechanics are crisp. This gun likely used very very little. 52241-1 JSL (2,000-3,000)
