L.C. SMITH SPECIALTY GRADE 12 GAUGE SHOTGUN.L.C. SMITHSPECIALITY GRADERE4488812MODERN; C&RCal. 12 ga. 30" Nitro steel bbls. 2-5/8" chambers. Chokes full/full. Full length matted top rib with brass front bead. Regular weight frame. Hunter One SST, automatic ejectors, non-automatic safety. Capped full pistol grip buttstock checkered in 2-point pattern with 13-1/2" LOP from rear position single trigger. Splinter forearm with banjo roll-type release and triangular ebony tip checkered in 3-point pattern. Nicely engraved script "B" in banjo and small triangle carved lightly into wood. Receiver is engraved in typical Specialty Grade pattern, ducks on right, quail on left, surrounded by open scroll engraving. All visible SN's match. Bore diameter: left -.729, right – .725. Bore restrictions: left – .028, right – .023. Wall thickness: left – .031, right – .031. Drop at heel: 2-1/2″, drop at comb: 1-9/16″. WEIGHT: 7 lbs, 12 oz. CONDITION: Fine. Bbl retains nearly all of a refurbished blued finish. Receiver retains approximately 30% orig color mostly on side plates. Buttstock and forearm are excellent, forearm as noted above and retain 80-90% of what appears to be their orig varnish. Very minor losses behind top tang otherwise stocks appear mostly sound. Mechanics are fine. Bores are bright and shiny with some scattered light pits. 52372-4 JSL (2,000-3,000)
