PAIR OF RARE WINCHESTER MODEL 1890 PUMP ACTION RIFLES. WINCHESTER 90 743741 22SHORT MODERN; C&R Cal. 22 Short. 24" oct bbl, 3/4 length magazine, take down, blue bbl and magazine, nickel receiver and buttplate. Straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent Patent Mark Model and Cal. designation. Top flat of bbl and breech bears a "WP" proof in an oval which also appears on receiver ring. Upper tang is marked "WINCHESTER / TRADEMARK / MADE IN U.S.A.". SN is stamped on forward bottom of frame and on lower tang behind trigger guard. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl has been cleaned to a steel grey patina with a little bit of salt and pepper roughness. Markings are sharp. Traces of blue at breech. Sights are very good. Rear sights shows almost all of the blue finish. Bore is frosty with visible rifling. Receiver retains 20-30% of the nickel finish which has flaked to a smooth silver/grey patina. Trigger shows considerable blue as does the hammer. Buttplate retains 80% nickel finish with a few light erosion spots. Markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized with very few handling marks overall. Considerable varnish remains on the forend. Mechanics are crisp. A rare Model 90 with a stainless steel bbl and half-nickel finish. 52669-1 TEP (4,000-6,000)

WINCHESTER 1890 13555 22RF Cal. 22 RF. 23-1/2" oct bbl, 3/4 length magazine, blue and case colored finish. Straight grain American walnut stocks with crescent steel buttplate. Bbl shows 2-line address rolled on top in front of rear sight. Front sight is blade type; rear sight is simple notch type. Upper tang of receiver is marked "WINCHESTER / MODEL 1890 / PAT. JUNE 26-88". SN is stamped on lower tang behind trigger guard. SN is of the correct range for this model. CONDITION: Very good. Bbl shows a smooth mottled grey patina overall with slight traces of blue around the sights. Markings are sharp. Bore is dark with visible rifling. Magazine tube is also a smooth silver/grey patina. Receiver shows a mottled grey/brown patina overall with a trace of case color on the left top beside the bolt. Tang markings are sharp. Stocks are very good, full sized with some staining at the wrist and buttplate. Stocks show considerable varnish finish with light handling marks overall. Mechanics are crisp.
