FINE ERNST BUCHEL ORIGINAL TELL .22 FREE PISTOL. BUCHEL TELL 1573 22 MODERN; C&R Cal. 22. 14-1/2" bbl. Marked on left side of frame "BUCHEL-ORIGINAL/TELL". Fine scroll engraving on sides of frame. Crown BU proof on right side of frame. Crown BUG on left side of oct bbl. Checkered wood grip and forend. Orig adjustable rear sight. Dbl set triggers. Lever along backstrap lifts to open breech block. All external numbers matching. These pistols were considered one of the "better class" pistols of its time. The World Championships of 1911, 1912 and 1913 were all won with Tell pistols. CONDITION: Fine with most of the orig case colors on frame, faded on trigger guard. Bbl retains most of the orig thinning blue. Light handling marks. Grips are very good, showing wear and handling marks. Bore is fine with sharp rifling.
