INTRIGUING J.D. DOUGALL LOCKFAST 12 GAUGE HAMMER SHOTGUN.J.D. DOUGALLSSxS281812Cal. 12 ga. 30" modern replacement fluid steel bbls. Proofed for 2-1/2" chambers. Full length tapered top rib with steel front bead. Dbl triggers, extractor, no safety. Straight grip buttstock with 14-1/2" LOP over 1-1/2" leather covered pad and spacer. Splinter forearm with wedge release and steel tip checkered in 2-point pattern. Back action locks are nicely scroll engraved as is action with about 40% coverage. Hammers will hold half-cock. Bottom of action engraved "J.D. Dougalls / Lock-Fast / Patent". All visible SN's match with exception of bbls as noted above. Bore diameter: left -.734, right - .735. Bore restrictions: left - .021 (MOD), right - .007 (IC). Wall thickness: left - .030, right - .029. Drop at heel: 2-1/8", drop at comb: 1-1/2". Neutral cast. Weight: 6 lbs. 14 oz. LOP: 14-1/2". CONDITION: Very good. Bbls retain approximately 95-97% orig blue finish. Buttstock and forearm have been professionally restored and retain most of their custom finish, there is some grime on stocks that will clean.
